Dr Sarah Heynemann is an early-career medical oncologist based in Melbourne; and a PhD candidate with Sydney Health Ethics, The University of Sydney. For her PhD research she is exploring issues at the interface of oncology, clinical trials methodology and bioethics, and her work is supported by the NHMRC scholarship scheme. Sarah also has a long-standing research interest in the notion of 'metastatic survivorship', and continues to lead a TOGA-endorsed study via Chris O'Brien Lifehouse seeking to pilot a virtual, survivorship-focussed MDT engaging GPs and patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Previously she has facilitated the online Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre 'Cancer Survivorship for Primary Care Practitioners' course and continues to tutor within the University of Melbourne's Master of Cancer Sciences, as well as within the Monash University medical degree via Monash Bioethics.
